Innocent KY Man Back Home For Xmas After 14 Years

Putting some final touches on his family’s Christmas tree last week, Kerry Porter was getting ready for a busy holiday weekend.

It’s the first Christmas Kerry was able to spend with family, after 14 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit.

Now Kerry says he’s filled with “so many emotions — it’s nice though. It feels good to be back home, finally.” He added: “I just wanted to get home for my mother. I was worried about her health because she was worried about me.

There were gifts under the tree to welcome Porter home, but he has no intention of replacing his lucky hat.

“We did time together,” Kerry said with a laugh.

Porter was sentenced to 60 years for the murder of Tyrone Camp in 1996 — which happened two days after Christmas.

Family members are not the only people who have reached out to Porter.
